Dhouha Djerbi is a Ph.D. researcher in the International Relations/Political Science department at the Geneva Graduate Institute, where she is affiliated with its Gender Center. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance and a B.A. in Gender Studies and Psychology from the American University of Paris. She is a Carnegie/CAORC research fellow at the Center for Maghreb Studies in Tunis. Dhouha’s research focuses on gendered labor relations within the context of agrarian transformations and rural movements in post-uprising Tunisia. She is particularly interested in the gendered division of labor in contentious settings and the ways in which challengers across the gendered labor divide go in and out of claim-making. Grounded in political ethnography, Dhouha’s methods involve hands-on experiences, often working on various farms across diverse regions of Tunisia. Her work is published in the Review of African Political Economy and Agrarian South: Journal of Political Economy, where she is an Associate Editor for its Research Bulletin series.
